Adding Contractors
You can maintain a register of contractors in Onsite to keep a record of all contractors relevant to your building. Within Onsite, contractors ‘belong’ to a site and are not shared between sites.
Approved compliance documentation is shared between Onsite sites by linking the contractor to a global record through the ABN, or NZBN.
Adding a Contractor
To add a contractor, go to Contractors and click the Add button.
- Type in the contractor name, and select the contractor type.
- Add any other details as required and click
Save.
When adding a contractor, we recommend using the inbuilt ABN / NZBN lookup to find the contractor ABN / NZBN. This allows Onsite to automatically fetch compliance documents on file.
When adding a contractor, we recommend adding an email address where possible. Without an email on file, you will not be able to send work orders to the contractor.
Preferred Contractor
You may end up with many infrequent or one off contractors in your register. When this happens, you recommend setting up your regular contractors as preferred contractors.
Preferred contractors will be highlighted in the contractor list, and at the top of the list in other areas of the application, such as generating a work order. You can also set a preferred contractor for a site.
Contractor Contacts
Contractor contacts are individuals who represent a contractor. Any individual who is attending site should be added as a contractor contact.
